As global sea levels rise, salt water intrusion leads to rising salinity levels, threatening agricultural production. It is a race to develop and employ increasingly salt tolerant varieties faster than the rate at which soil salinity is rising. This project aims to develop adaptation pathways to overcome these challenges by considering the roles of different stakeholders (from individual farmers, to district and national level government) to ensure this race is won. This will allow the costs to different types of stakeholders to be calculated, as well as giving some guidance as to how the international community can best support agricultural adaptation to climate change.
