New Climate Normals for Electricity Demand Forecasting

Hydro-Québec’s distribution division, in collaboration with the Ouranos Consortium, studied the impacts of climate change on energy demand and implemented ways to incorporate recent changes in average temperature into energy and peak demand forecast.
