The University of Oxford is hiring a Senior Researcher to develop an innovative early warning system for lethal humid heatwaves. This full-time, fixed-term role (until Feb 2027) offers a chance to lead cutting-edge machine learning research on climate and excess mortality predictions.

✅ Position: Senior Researcher in Machine Learning and Climate
✅ Location: Oxford, UK
✅ Eligibility: PhD/DPhil in a relevant field; experience in machine learning for climate science; strong publication record
✅ Salary: £48,235 – £57,255 (Research Grade 8)

💼 Responsibilities:

  • Develop machine learning models for climate risk prediction
  • Lead research on humidity and excess mortality forecasting
  • Collaborate with global experts and publish high-impact studies
