The Road to COP30 Simulation Fellowship is a dynamic, youth-led initiative designed to empower young individuals globally in climate action, policy-making, and diplomacy. Now in its fourth year, this program is jointly organized by The British University in Egypt and UNDP Egypt, offering participants a unique platform to engage directly with international stakeholders and climate experts.

🧭 Programme Overview

  • Online Capacity-Building: A comprehensive two-week online training program focusing on climate literacy, diplomacy, debate, and conflict resolution.
  • Mentored Policy Papers: Participants will develop climate-related policy papers under the guidance of experienced professionals and academics.
  • COP30 Simulation Conference: Hosted at The British University in Egypt, approximately 150 students worldwide will simulate roles of country delegates and non-state actors, culminating in the COP30 Simulation Declaration.
  • Publication of the COP30 Simulation Declaration: The youth-voted resolutions from the conference will be compiled into a published declaration, which will be presented at the actual COP30 summit.
  • COP30 Participation: As the final stage of the programme, 20 outstanding students will be selected to travel to the COP30 summit to present the resolutions and climate solutions that have emerged from the COP30 Simulation Conference.
