Overview
The Resilient and Inclusive Cities Hub (RICH), hosted by the Global Disability Fund, invites proposals for innovative, small-scale solutions that promote disability-inclusive and resilient cities. This open call aims to fund up to 5 projects globally that creatively address urban accessibility, equity, and sustainability, especially for persons with disabilities.
Focus Areas
Projects must align with one of the following themes:
- New Regulatory and Policy Models (e.g., adaptive, person-centred governance)
- Creative Funding Mechanisms (e.g., participatory budgeting, private sector mobilisation)
- Innovative Service Delivery (e.g., integrated or personalised services)
- Cost-Effective Urban Solutions (e.g., low-cost technologies, accessible early warning systems)
Requirements and Criteria
Proposals must:
- Demonstrate technical expertise and innovation
- Be co-designed with OPDs and local authorities
- Show potential for scalability and replication
- Focus on a single urban area with a clear rationale
Technical review will assess: relevance, intersectional and universal design approaches, innovation, collaboration, and impact potential.
