What: YCJF is seeking a talented and passionate Development Officer to join their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating and supporting the fundraising of the YCJF, while supporting the organization in the donor influencing pillar of the fund. Working closely with the Development Director, you will be responsible for implementing strategies to secure donations, manage donor relationships, and keep track of the quality of our donor influencing work.

Commonwealth Innovative Youth Essay Award
What: This competition, brought to you by the Trade and Youth teams of the Commonwealth Secretariat, invites young researchers and students aged 18-29 to share their insights on a crucial topic: How can trade and trade policy address an aspect of the climate crisis in your country? First prize will receive £1,000; second and third prizes will receive £500 each. The top three essays will be published as part of the Trade Competitiveness Briefing Series and launched at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa in October.

Become a Youth Delegate at COP29 in Baku
What: Hosted by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM), the Climate Mobility Pavilion (CMP) at COP29 will take place from 11-22 November 2024. The GCCM’s Youth Forums are inviting applications for the CMP Youth Programme. This initiative will bring together young leaders from the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions to advance climate action. Selected delegates will receive capacity building, speaking opportunities, and engagement with policymakers and climate action champions from various sectors. Travel and accommodation expenses covered will be covered by GCCM.
