King’s College London is hiring a Senior Communications and Engagement Officer to support the newly launched Maximising UK Adaptation to Climate Change (MACC) Hub. Based in the School of Global Affairs, this high-impact role will shape and deliver a strategic communications plan to support one of the UK’s most ambitious climate adaptation initiatives.

About the role:
The MACC Hub brings together leading researchers and practitioners to support climate adaptation policy and practice across the UK. As Senior Communications Officer, you will lead outreach efforts, craft compelling content, and work with key partners including the Stockholm Environment InstituteweADAPT, and Climate Outreach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead development and implementation of a communications and engagement strategy
  • Manage digital content (web, social media, newsletters) and public-facing outputs
  • Collaborate across sectors to promote adaptation work from local to national levels
  • Support event coordination and stakeholder engagement across a UK-wide network

Contract type: Full-time (35 hours/week), fixed term until June 2027
Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week on campus (Strand Campus, London)
Salary: £38,482–£43,249 (including London weighting)
