Leading Research and Training Institutions Meet to Share Experience on How to Help the Poorest Countries to Deal with Climate Change
The C3D+ partnership – a global network of national research and training institutes working collectively on key climate change issues being faced by the poorest countries – held its annual partners meeting from 26-28 June 2013, at the Chateau de Bossey near Geneva, Switzerland.
Learning from each other
The partners reported on the work that they are doing to help countries improve access to climate information, understand the nature of vulnerability to climate change, and take advantage of the low carbon emissions future.

Learning from others
Representatives from other development organisations working on climate change attended the second and third day of the meeting, providing key insights on how to make the C3D+ partnership more visible and effective at a global level.

Looking ahead
Looking ahead the C3D+ partnership will continue to build on its trademark approach to helping countries better understand the risks and opportunities presented by climate change. This includes making climate change information accessible and understandable by non-specialists, adapting the tools needed by practitioners on the ground to the local context, and providing training and education opportunities alongside research on the ground. Over the coming weeks, this work will be shared here. The Secretariat for the C3D+ Partnership is provided by UNITAR.
