RegionsAdapt is a pioneering initiative dedicated to empowering subnational governments worldwide to adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Driven by the governments of Rio de Janeiro and Catalonia, RegionsAdapt was launched at
COP 21 in Paris to galvanize the voice and expertise of regional adaptation and resilience. It is a global platform of 75+ States and regions leading on climate adaptation.

RegionsAdapt mobilises ambition and action on climate adaptation by facilitating access to the latest innovations, tools and best practices at regional level throughout the world. Through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and contribution to the global processes, this unique regional partnership catalyses innovation on climate adaptation, fosters cooperation and supports regional governments improve their resilience.
