This webinar, which took place on 28 August 2024, explored concrete efforts to facilitate access to quality finance for locally led adaptation. Presenters shared their experiences of tensions at different levels of governance in efforts to decentralize adaptation finance and identify the blockages they have encountered in their efforts. In so doing, they discussed how they have tackled these blockages, and what it means to broker change in efforts to decentralize adaptation finance.

In all cases, overcoming blockages in adaptation finance requires efforts toward system-wide change. The speakers shared the various forms of co-creation processes they are engaged in at various scales, from local to global, and their efforts to tackle power dynamics that restrict finance from flowing to where it is needed most.
