MACC Hub Webinar Series #1: Contributing to the Well Adapted UK Report (WAUK) – Evidence Call from the CCC

MACC Hub Webinars: The first episode of MACC Hub's monthly webinar series will focus on the Climate Change Committee’s current evidence call and how you can contribute.

Date and Time

Date: June 10, 2025
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM GMT+1

Aim

The Climate Change Committee (CCC) invites the research community and practitioners to provide evidence on adaptation in the UK related to setting ambition, identifying actions, enabling delivery and monitoring progress.

The CCC has been commissioned by the UK government and devolved administrations to deliver an Independent Assessment of Climate Risk (CCRA4-IA) to inform the government’s fourth Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA4). As part of CCRA4-IA, the CCC is developing a new report titled Well Adapted UK (WAUK). In addition to the updated Technical Report, the WAUK report will outline:

  • What adaptation actions are needed to manage key climate risks;
  • A strategic framework for delivering effective adaptation policy; and
  • Sector-specific recommendations for building resilience.

Analysis for the WAUK report is already underway – this is your opportunity to engage and help shape this important national agenda.

Join this webinar to learn more about the CCC’s current evidence call and how you can contribute. The session will include a live Q&A with Caitlin Douglas, CCC and Katy Peat, Defra.

Speakers

Dr Helen Adams, Kings College London
Katy Peat, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Caitlin Douglas, Climate Change Committee
