Scientific Researcher
I have lived in Nigeria for most part of my life. I am currently finishing my master’s degree in Environmental Studies at Antioch University (New England Campus), in Keene New Hampshire – U.S.A. I served as a Graduate Intern at Antioch’s Center for Climate Preparedness and Community Resilience (CCPCR), got nominated and represented the American Association of Geographers (AAG) in the Climate Action Zone at the COP 23 in Bonn, 2017 and most recently completed a study on Aquatic invasive Species; monitoring, early detection, rapid response, long-term management planning and spread prevention, which was funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) over the summer. The research took place at the facilities of Adirondack Watershed Institute of Paul Smiths College (in the Adirondack region, upstate) New York.
My interests intersect Natural Resource Inventory and Management, Conservation-Psychology, Environmental Communication and Participatory Processes. I’m looking to deepening my understanding of the IPCC Guidelines, the UNFCCC reporting and review processes, the review practices, steps of the processes and the review tools. I’ll be looking to further understanding the outcomes of the sector-specific reviews and the role of ER’s toward achieving the indubitably common task ahead of us all, which is “to enable the Conference of Parties (COP) to the Convention to assess overall progress towards meeting its ultimate objectives, i.e. to achieve stabilization of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere”.
