Arthur William Okero Obare Biography
Arthur William Okero Obare has spent most his career in the field of basin (river, lake and aquifer) development and management. Entering the job market with BSc degree in Physics and Chemistry, his first assignment was water quality monitoring and pollution. After a short stint in that capacity, he diversified into meteorology and hydrology work. Transboundary Marine Spatial Planning is another area of focus.
His work result found direct input into various disciplines as well as sectors of the economy. Key among them are; river hydrologic and hydraulic design, water supply and wastewater design, hydroelectric power design, land settlement schemes, irrigation, and many more.
