Azim Doosti is a Policy, Institution and Coordination expert, where he undertakes an institutional mapping exercise and training need analysis in relevant government agencies to determine shortfalls in assessment, monitoring, prediction and interpretation of climate change risks. In addition Develop a strategic plan and data network for climate and information management and exchange, Assess the current state of early warning systems and options for Afghanistan including gaps in knowledge, practice and capacity.
Azim holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad Iran, an M.S. in Chemical & Petroleum Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology Tehran Iran, and online M. S. in Public Administration from IGNU, India. Prior to joining UNEP, he was the country representative for ICIMOD in Afghanistan led the development of Green economy for Afghanistan.
