Badisungu Pontien is a young Congolese leader committed to the climate and the environment based in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After his secondary studies, the young environmental activist Badisungu Pontien decided to undertake his university studies in environmental science and development at the University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. On the occasion of a recruitment competition for young environmentalist volunteer leaders launched in 2018 by the organization Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) in Kinshasa in DR Congo, the young leader Badisungu Pontien will be detected and selected as a CCAO focal point for mobilization young people for the climate and the environment in the city of Kinshasa. His successful actions and initiatives in the field of the environment and biodiversity, his courage and his leadership in mobilizing young people on environmental and climate issues have made him award "Green Ambassador" by the organization Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) in 2019. He will then be recruited as Program Assistant for this organization in 2020, a position that he combines (with efficiency and competence) with his university studies in environment and Sustainable Development at the University of Kinshasa.
