MPhil Polar Studies Student (SPRI)
I am currently an MPhil Polar Studies student at the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. My research interests lie in the adaptive capacities of subsistence communities in glaciated regions and connected issues of climate justice and human rights.
I am driven by the opportunities to use adaptation research to inform policy and engage with members of the public through outreach projects. Throughout my time as an undergraduate Geography student at the University of Glasgow, I gained experience in leading expeditions in Greenland, Tanzania and the Himalayas as well as producing environmental documentary films. Through this work I have established an online platform of education resources, aimed at engaging more young people with climate change adaptation and mitigation called Explorers' Stories, which can be found at www.explorersstories.org.
Having grown up in Scotland, I also developed a deep love for playing traditional Scottish folk music so, when I'm not planning climate change research, I will most likely be found playing and writing music with friends!
