As someone fascinated by the national forest, and conscious of the many threats of destruction that it faces today, I aspire to continue working in the forestry sector and help to preserve that which I consider priceless. As a Liberian, the country with the largest remaining block of the upper Guinea forest Ecosystem in the world, my current work has exposed me to the many threats that this unique ecosystem, a global biodiversity hotspot faces. Though laudable efforts are have been made toward improving the management of this landscape, there are also instances where good intentioned projects are poorly implemented due to lack of professional knowledge or technical capacity.
I have come to the conclusion that through it is possible to implement or develop policies and activities aimed at minimizing and or preventing the destruction of the forest, the possibility of success increases when one has the proper training. As I look forward to a career in the forestry sector, I am optimistic that the acquisition of the unique knowledge and skills offer by this program will equip me to contribute more significantly to the design and implementation of forest policies and activities in my country, I am also thrilled at the acquisition of softer skills that are important to the modern forester, but often over look by many problems, including project management fundraising.
Forestry is the framework and or means through which issues relating to the forest are dealt with, it includes policies, Sustainable forest, regulations and actions to address issues relating to the use and access of natural resources.
A With my involvement with forest issues over the last four years, l am thrill at the possibility of advancing my knowledge and understanding of the forest. Currently, I am employed with Forestry Training Institute as Assistant Accountant and acting Director for Research , I have conducted survive research on climate change Forest policy, Law and sustainable Forest management
My job involves Training middle level forest rangers. This includes, but is not limited to the implementation of training, l also work with administration to Administered entrance and placement and Assistant on Discipline and welfare committee for students and Instructors.

As l look forward to a career in the forestry sector, lam optimistic that the acquisition of the unique knowledge and skills offer by this program will equip me to contribute more significantly to the design and implementation of forestry policies and activities in my country. I look forward to becoming a more rounded forester professional capable of accurately contributing to the steps leading from observation to the monitoring and verification of action that are properly planned and implemented.

• Exposure to international best practices and emerging trends in the forestry sector.
• Introduction to a multidisciplinary approach to addressing forestry challenges within the broader framework of achieving human needs through sustainable development.
• More detailed/ in- depth knowledge of the science that informed forestry policies and actions.
Through my current and Job experience, l expects to contribute the following to the program.
• Experience of working in a post- conflict society where forester concerns are not seen as priority within the government is drive for development, especially as it relates to the exploitation of natural resources.
• Experience in participating in national and international forestry processes, particularly the Improving Forest Governance (IFG) and the exposure that it brings about understanding international approaches to addressing forestry issues.
• Practical knowledge on the implementation of a Ecological surveys field course for students, and the understanding it give me on the need for forestry project to balance/ conservation goals within a sustainable development framework.
