Christos Giannakopoulos

The focus of my research interests is on the study of climate change and its impacts using global and regional models.
The aim is the study of change of extreme events due to anthropogenic impacts both regionally in Greece/the Mediterranean and in Europe. Moreover the impacts and adaptation strategies to climate change on several sectors are ivestigated. These sectors include forest fire risk, energy usage, population health and tourism.
