Environmental Analyst
I'm a marine scientist and project manager that now specialises in environmental management services. I currently work as an Environmental Consultant, providing people with tools and solutions to increase the sustainability value of development with minimal environmental and social impacts. In 2014, I pursued an MSc. in Queensland, Australia, bravely transitioning from a 9-year telecoms career in the Caribbean and Central America, to diving and research on the Great Barrier Reef. Since then I have done academic research focused on coral reef ecosystems in the Caribbean, Australia and the Philippines, investigating their resilience as complex, social-ecological systems. Most recently, I have been accepted to Homeward Bound, a global leadership initiative designed for women in STEMM, and will journey to Antarctica as a part of my fellowship. I'm a passionate minority rights and science communication advocate who strongly believes that science and climate change must address structural racism, economic inequality and patriarchy. I now hope to learn more about climate vulnerability and adaptation strategies to strengthen my capacity to apply these concepts in my everyday work.
