Civil Engineer, University of the Andes, Colombia. MSc in Hydroinformatics and Flood Risk Management from the IHE Delft and the Technical University of Dresden. MSc in Urban Management and Development – Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Skills and experience in hydraulic and hydrological modelling, GIS, flood risk management, Nature-based Solutions, Ecosystem Services Valuation, and engineering project management in the public, private and academic sectors. Ability to lead, organize and develop water-related projects, understanding the socio-economic issues and ecosystem interactions related to flooding and water management. Currently interested in the analysis of the role of ecosystems and biodiversity in water resources management and the development of nature-based solutions for disaster risk reduction.
