Founder
I'm a cultural manager by training and aspiring ethnobotanist by passion. I cofounded Sinaweya in 2018 with the goal of using my background in the arts as a tool for conservation. Sinaweya is a small organization that works towards the conservation of Sinai's cultural and natural heritage. We have been collaborating with and learning from the local community of St Catherine to document traditional knowledge, advocate for environmental efforts to save natural heritage and support local makers by branding local products and distributing in wider networks. I find this ethnobotanical quest rewarding in its power to heighten one's connection to important life concepts and purpose. This work is continually inspired by the creativity birthed through knowledge exchange.
