I am a trained gender and development specialist with a strong background in child protection, livelihoods programming, women and youth empowerment, local governance and economic development. My experience in the HIV response and the EBOLA response (as Crisis Manager) is an added strength. My professional experience also spans the areas of Community Managed Microfinance, curriculum development and programme design, implementation and management. I ventured into innovation when as a focal person I helped established the Accelerator Lab at UNDP Sierra Leone. Recently I got inspired by an environmentalist, Dr Andrew Simmons to get a focus on climate change. Together we have established a community-based organization working to address climate change
I have undertaken consultancies for UN and non-UN agencies and facilitated and supervised local and international consultancies in the area of Local Economic Development, policy development and reviews, adolescence girls’ empowerment, youth access to inclusive financial services and Life Skills (including HIV). I am capable of managing teams of people working on specific projects within tight timelines. Have represented organizations worked with at international platforms be it for workshops to defend concepts notes or to develop joint multi-year / regional proposals
