Climate Change Advisor to the Métis National Council
Erin Myers was hired as the Climate Change and Environment Advisor to the Métis National Council in May of 2019. Prior to joining the MNC, she spent the last 12 years as the lead Program Officer for the Climate Change and Health Adaptation Program for First Nations and Inuit Communities at Indigenous Services Canada. Her work has taken her all over the country as well as internationally supporting Indigenous voices in the climate change adaptation dialogue, policy and program development. In 2005, Erin was awarded an Honorary Membership to the Fishing Lake Métis Settlement for her work with Métis youth, which reminds her of why this work is so important.
