I started Mahlathini in 2003 to provide a space in rural development implementation to combine the needs of the rural poor, farming and nature and to work across the fields of learning and mentoring, research and implementation. we work primarily in the communal tenure areas in South Africa across the KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape and Limpopo provinces.
Our main aim is to support poor ,rural smallholder farmers to improve their livelihoods and the environment they live in. We do this y focusing on natural farming methods, soil and water conservation, rainwater harvesting, regenerative agriculture, livestock integration, Climate Resilient Agriculture, microfinance and small business development.
We are passionate about participants, and providing a voice for the poor, women and youth.
