Climate Change Adaptation Expert
I am a climate adaptation expert, who specializes in bridging the gap between climate science and adaptation action. With a background in urban geography & planning, I use my experience with data visualization and geo-information to offer insight into climate change impacts, risks and vulnerabilities, as well developing fit-for-purpose methods and user-centred tools that turn climate risk into resilience.
I have worked in over eight megacities, in Africa and Asia, carrying out climate risk assessments and developing adaptation actions and plans. I also supported several businesses, such as APG, Heineken, Vesteda and Syntrus Achmea, where I gained sector expertise in the financial and real estate sector working on tailored climate risk information for investors.
My aim is to create a resilient future by turning climate data and science into actionable information that decision-makers can work with. I have extensive international experience, working in several countries across Africa, Asia and Europe. Areas of expertise include:
• supporting businesses and governments in becoming climate resilient;
• building capacity and raising awareness on climate change adaptation;
• mainstreaming adaptation into operations, plans and procedures;
• co-developing tailored climate services that help climate-proof the world.
