Project manager on National Adaptation Plan Support for Senegal
As part of my professional studies, I was posted to the Directorate of the Environment and Classified Establishments, of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Senegal, as a climate program manager and technical assistant in climate finance; I have benefited from seven (7) years of professional experience, technical and human skills and knowledge that I wish to make available to this project. As such, I acquired solid experience in climate change and climate finance during this five-year period, which allowed me to participate in the coordination of the development of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the fisheries and aquaculture sector and the national determined contribution. In addition, I had to accompany and guide project leaders in the formulation of their projects, and a banking institution (the agricultural bank ex national agricultural credit union of Senegal whose accreditation to the green fund for the climate is effective since 2020).
I have had to lead several training sessions in recent years at the national level and in almost all regions of Senegal for all categories of actors on issues of climate risk management, mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions, climate finance, integration of climate into policies etc.
Since March 2020, I have been coordinating the project to support the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan in the sectors of agriculture, health, land transport infrastructure and flood-focused disaster risk management, funded by the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Development Programme.
