Gopalika Arora is Research Associate, Climate Change, IORA Ecological Solutions. She is an economist with more than two years of experience in climate change research. Her areas of expertise include Climate Change Adaptation, Climate finance and policy solutions. She is a key contributor to IORA’s work in climate policy which aims to support India’s pathway to a climate-resilient low-carbon economy through judicious national policies, carbon market mechanisms, and effective implementation in states and cities. Her policy contributions include State Action Plan on Climate Change for four states (Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh). Her current scope of work also includes supporting an inclusive and equitable low-carbon transition for vulnerable economic sectors, and exploring the role of carbon pricing instruments in India.
