VISION is to see a Greener Ethiopia where all land-users manage and maintain their natural resources to ensure healthy and meaningful lives for themselves and for generations to come
MISSION is to contribute toward the collective efforts of greening Ethiopia through the promotion of tree planting and sustainable natural resource management practices that protect the environment and improve the livelihoods of all people.
Ob j e c t i v e s
Control erosion and restore health and productivity to degraded lands and watersheds through planting multipurpose, fast-growing trees
Mitigate deforestation through the planting of woodlots that provide a sustainable source of fuel wood, timber and non-timber forest products
Increase the availability of nutrient-rich, tree-based foods to improve household food security
Promote agroforestry practices to increase and sustain agricultural productivity and provide improved tree and non-tree products to generate income at the household
level
Build the capacities of stakeholders through establishing and training community groups and cooperatives that focus on environmental care and education, while strengthening Farmers’ Training Centers
Demonstrate and promote the local use, production and sale of appropriate fuel-saving technologies
Facilitate the creation of an environmental protection platform with members living in and outside of Ethiopia
