Architect and Urban Planner, Specialist in Water Resources Management in Watersheds, Master in Planning and Urban Design, and in Environmental Sustainability (ABD), currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Geography Department at Universidade de Brasilia. Independent researcher, trained mediator, and facilitator interested in conflict prevention over Natural Resources, especially transboundary waters.
Experienced professional in Environmental Sanitation and Regional Planning, Water Resources, Environmental Planning and Conservation, Environmental Licensing, and Professional Training, holding 30 years of teaching experience, 20 of them in higher education working as a lecturer at Architecture and Urban Planning Courses.
She started her career in the third and the private sectors, getting into Federal Government in 2004, and contributed to developing several projects and initiatives.
Liliana is a former Fulbright Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the SPURS/MIT and a visiting scholar at SPA/CUDenver where she developed voluntary activities at CRWA and Roxbury College and graciously translated educational material for several MOOCs offered by institutions such as CSF, ELI, and UNEP.
She is a volunteer member of several institutions serving as Co-chair of the EnPAX Interest Group on Water and editing the Monthly Newsletter; Coordinator of the climate justice cluster of the Latin American Observatory for Climate Action (OLAC); Manager of the Technical Chamber of the Global Agendas at IAUB. She participates in the MBBI, the Climate Leadership Corps, the WATERLAT network, the MIT Alumni for Climate Action, and the 9th World Water Forum Groups.
