Researcher
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the AmazonFace program (https://labterra.cpa.unicamp.br/en/) working with ecosystems-based adaptation and sustainable development in the Brazilian Amazon, and consultant on ecosystem services for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Brazil. I have a Ph.D. in Plant Biology (University of Campinas/Brazil - 2014), and post-doctorate in biodiversity and ecosystem services (2018). I have been working with biodiversity conservation and sustainability since 2004. Between 2015 and 2019, I was executive secretary of the Brazilian Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services initiative (BPBES), when I coordinated and authored chapters of the Brazilian Assessment, in addition to organizing thematic reports, such as the Pollination and Production of Food in Brazil. I am currently a member of the Scientific Council of the initiative. In 2016, I composed the Brazilian Delegation during the 4th IPBES Plenary, and since 2017 I am a member of the Ecosystem Services Partnership/ESP. I am also a member of the working group of the International Hub on Sustainable Development (HIDS), a project developed by Unicamp and other institutions supported by IBD.
