Climate Change and Biodiversity Specialist at UNEP
Working with the Mountain Team at UNEP, I support mountain communities in the South Caucasus in adapting to the impacts of climate change and strengthening regional mountain governance. My previous experience includes working with grassroots environmental movements and local communities to enhance climate resilience and advocate for their needs at both national and international levels. As a researcher, I have conducted studies on a range of issues, including the impacts of climate change on women in Georgia, climate-induced migration, and adaptation finance. My main interests include climate justice, locally-led adaptation, adaptation finance, and the empowerment of women, youth, and Indigenous peoples.
