Mr. Tahoun’s current position provides advice to Egyptian clients on doing business in a complex and rapidly changing global marketplace. His position requires professionals, who must be client-service oriented, self-starters, and take the initiative to seek out new contacts as well as market and sector intelligence in an ever-changing cultural, economic and technological environment.
One of Mr. Tahoun’s primary roles is to recognize and understand international trends, opportunities and risks that need to shape the Egyptian economic development policy, and to offer the government advice on how best to protect and advance Egypt’s well-being. In this way he contributes to the government’s overall objective of transforming Egypt into a dynamic, knowledge-based economy and society, underpinned by the values of fairness, opportunity and security for all.
Mr. Tahoun reviews the international setting in which Egypt pursues its external economic policies. He looks for current trends and key drivers for change, seeking to identify opportunities and risks that may impact on the Egyptian economic and trade policy objectives. Then, he sets out the broad initiatives which the ECS plans to pursue over the subsequent twelve months, as well as outlining longer term policy objectives.
