Environmental Engineer currently completing a MSc in Economics
Nick Saunders is currently studying a MSc in Economics at Gothenburg University in Sweden. He previously worked at the Wrigley Company as the regional
environmental and sustainability coordinator. He completed a Bachelor of
Environmental Engineering (Honours Class 1) and a Bachelor of Arts majoring
in Development Studies at the University of NSW in 2012. Before working at Wrigley he spent several years working at Storm Consulting where he focused on water sensitive urban design projects and creek rehabilitation techniques. Nick also has experience in the field of carbon accounting having worked at the Carbon Reduction Institute
in 2010. He has a keen interest in climate change adaptation theory and the
logic behind implementation decisions. Nick has been involved in several research projects at Engineers Without Boarders. Most recently he supported in-country volunteers by contributing to an evaluation of climate change adaptation and mitigation
projects being conducted in southeast Asia with a focus on water security and
income diversity for farmers.
