ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
SWOY foundation is a vision birthed by passion geared towards changing people’s life from zero to something. It is a Community Base Organization (CBO). Non-profit and non-governmental organization.
The issue of long-term poverty and marginalization associated with (widows) women (Orphans and vulnerable children) young ones. These categories of people in Nigeria have continued to assume am alarming increase. Several projects have been developed over the years geared towards this regards, but they appears not to adequately handle these issues. It is against this background that SWOY Foundation was formed. However, this issue has given rise to the high prevalence rate of HIV/AIDS, STD and other related disease ravaging the country toady. Young widows cannot as a result of this take care of there children who are chronically ill, pay there school fees or even give them correct balance diet per day. It have also given room for unrealized dreams, many bright children have quit education to be terrorist to the society. That is why SWOY Foundation is committed to sound programme implementation and service delivery to these vulnerable group.
Thus every community that we work in, we have taken an integrated development approach. We believe we can continue to make a positive change and enhance the difference in the way people live in Niger Delta region and beyond
