Since 1997, when he got its Doctorate in Environmental Management at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Pablo Reali started working in environmental management issues, getting extensive experience obtained in Uruguay, Spain, Chile, France and the Dominican Republic. He was being contracted by private companies (Foresur GIE, CARBOSUR SRL, The Regions Bank, RMK Timberland, Union Capital Group, etc), international agencies (FAO, UNDP, UNIDO, UNESCO, UNEP, JICA and AECI ), and state institutions (Ministry of Cattle, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay; Ministry of Housing, Land Planning and Environment of Uruguay; Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay, National Institute for Agricultural Research of Uruguay, etc.). At the same time, he has performing research and taught college classes at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, The Uruguayan State University, the Catholic University of Uruguay and Universidad ORT of Uruguay). Since years, he focused, in climate change issues, both in mitigation and adaptation ones. In mitigation, he elaborated, review and follows up several CDM projects homed in South America and even collaborate in the submission of a new methodology to the Executive Board of the CDM. In adaptation, he worked and researched in the resilience and adaptation measures in the agriculture, forestry and related industry to climate change and in the climate change effects on natural resources and biodiversity, mostly based in Uruguay. He also has broad experience in renewable energy production, hazardous chemical management and sustainable mining operations. He is a Spanish native speaker with high proficient level of English and acceptable level of Portuguese and French.
