Ms Pamla Gopaul, Policy Officer , in the office of the Chief Executive Officer, at the NEPAD Agency, Johannesburg, South Africa.
A former staff of the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, from 2001to 2006 in the capacity of Analytical Coordinator and Statistical Database Administrator at the Enriched Management Studies Programme, Faculty of Commerce. Pamla obtained a degree in Bachelors of Commerce, Investment Finance and Management, during her employ at the University and further obtained her Bachelors of Commerce Honours degree at the University of South Africa.
She has over 24 years of experience as a professional Administrator and has served as a Research Fellow and Financial Administrator at Technikon Natal from 1998 to 2000.
From 1990 to 1998, Ms Gopaul was employed at World Courier SA (Pty) Ltd, as their Operational and Administrative Manager, gaining exceptional experience and knowledge on handling dangerous goods and time sensitive consignments.
In 2006, she was employed as Administrative Assistant: Administration, Human Resources and Finance, at the NEPAD Secretariat under the legal entity of the Development Bank of Southern Africa. From 2013, Ms Pamla Gopaul has since continued her employ at the NEPAD Agency, a technical body of the Africa Union, in the capacity of Policy Officer to the Chief Executive Officer. Her employment at the Agency has provided her with the opportunity of attending and coordinating high level Heads of States Conferences and the United Nations General Assembly, among others.
Ms Gopaul has received numerous accolades and acknowledgement for her contribution in policy research and administration. She is a member of the Women in Finance Association and served as the Secretary and President Elect at the Rotary Club of Centurion (2012), to which she remains a committed member.
She has a passion for Education Development and Training and through a scholarship is currently finalizing, a Masters in Philosophy Degree (MPhil) in Policy Development and Practice at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
