Proactive and experienced independent climate resilient development specialist and policy analyst, and Lead Author of the Africa chapter for the IPCC Fifth Assessment report, Working Group II. Team leader for the National Climate Change Policy and Strategic Programme for Climate Resilience of The Gambia. Consultant developing Adaptation Fund programmes in several countries. Climate resilient development work builds on strong basis in governance for sustainable development, water, environment, ecotourism, local planning and rural development. Interests include national and sub-national policy and strategy development for climate resilience, governance systems for adaptation, synergies between adaptation and mitigation, integrated approaches at the livelihoods level, and adaptation as a participatory learning process.
