Sustainability Management Officer
Renz brings five years of multidisciplinary experience in national & multilateral development work across Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom, strategic and science communications, and mainstreaming climate action. He is currently engaged with the Access to Sustainable Energy Program - Clean Energy Living Laboratories, 100% Renewables Cities & Regions Roadmap in Indonesia, Building Efficiency Accelerator Program, and a UNDP Programme on the design of a transparency framework for the Philippines’ contributions to global climate goals.
He is also the Project Support Lead for OurEnergy2030 - a coalition of youth, students, and civil society organizations advocating for a responsive and inclusive clean energy transition in the country through leadership dialogs.
Previously part of the British Embassy Manila’s International Policy section, he supported the UK's ODA program for science and innovation - assisting Filipino scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs, strengthening linkages with multilateral delivery partners, and leading its communications strategy. His role also engaged him with the Embassy’s broader work in green finance, urban resilience, and low-carbon development.
Before that, he worked with the Department of Science and Technology – Advanced Science and Technology Institute on disaster risk reduction projects, supporting communities to increase their adaptive capacity and resilience to climate hazards through the transfer of early-warning systems and facilitation of education and communication campaigns.
