Water management engineer
Umesh Parajuli is a holder of a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Science (focus on Interdisciplinary Irrigation Management, matching technology and institution), Wageningen University, The Netherland, 1999. He has extensive experience as Irrigation Management Engineer in mountainous countries like Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan. Most of his work focused on community managed irrigation systems. He is well versed with participatory research and capacity building. In recent past, he has completed a couple of field studies that focused in improving the climate resilience of small and medium scale community managed irrigation systems in the hills and mountains
