Sourya Das

I am a mid-career Researcher mainly interested in Integrated Land and Water Management. My expertise are mainly on natural resource valuation and analysis of environmental governance. I like to collaborate with natural scientist and bring out interdisciplinary perspective on natural resource valuation, governance, and management.

I have worked with various kinds of issues on development and environment like food security, watershed management, wetland management, forest management, disaster management, common pool resources, poverty, vulnerability, etc. I did my post-graduation from University of Kalyani on Rural Development and Management and PhD from IIT-Kharagpur on sustainable development. I did my post-doctoral research from ATREE and worked with TISS as Assistant Professor. I also worked with Agricultural Finance Corporation Limited and West Bengal State Rural Development Agency. In WOTR, I am working as Senior Researcher (Economics) and working on economics of land degradation, economics of climate change adaptations, agrobiodiversity and food and nutrition security.
