Former Disaster Risk Reduction Advisor at the former SpecialUnit for South-South Cooperation in UNDP, now UN Office for South-south Cooperation. Worked as Director of Training and Education in Asian Disaster Preparedness Center. Prior to that held an executive director post in national NGOs --Center for Disaster Preparedness Center (1999) and Citizen's Disaster Response Center (1988-1989). Currently a member of the global board of the Global Network of Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Risk Reduction or GNDRand the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
