In my research I investigate how social factors influence environmental outcomes. I do this by linking network science, environmental science and social science. My interdisciplinary training allows me to understand environmental problems as complex systems of interactions between humans and nature, and to analyse these interactions using network models. I use this approach to study important questions such as the factors that drive effective management in a variety of contexts including wildfire control, food system sustainability, wildlife conservation and climate adaptation.
