Othman Al-mashaqbeh: He holds a PhD in Water Engineering Degree, University of Technology, Sydney, 2010. He has a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering (1994) and a Master Degree in Civil Engineering/Water and Environment (1997). His PhD thesis title is "Performance of woody materials for storm water filtration treatment systems". He was working as Environmental Engineer at Ministry of Water & Irrigation / Water Authority–Laboratories & Water Quality Department. Now, he is a researcher at the Knowledge Sector/Royal Scientific Society in Jordan since 1998. His work experience is to manage, supervise and participate in the execution of consultants, studies, researches in water field. He is a member in national agenda committee for pollution prevention, and a member in Jordan Highlands Forum to minimize using groundwater in agriculture. Also, he was working as a teacher assistant at University of Technology, Sydney (under/Postgraduate subjects). He has good skills in using Hydrus-1D model for reactive/solute transports on porous media. Now, he is Coordinator and researcher for study titled: Review evidence on minimum household water security requirements for health protection both nationally and globally Funded by World Health Organization (WHO). His research interest are; Water pollution prevention and management (Characterization and treatment of Surface water, Stormwater runoff, Water and waste water (Domestic and Industrial) and Sewage Sludge); Adsorption and Leachability of heavy metals and organic by woody adsorbents; Modeling solute transport in porous media (HYDRUS 1-D).
