Dr. Ezekwe Ifeanyichukwu Clinton (currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt Nigeria, since October, 2015) Graduated from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with B.Sc Hons in Geography (1994), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, MSc (2001) Petroleum Geology and Abia State University (2009), Hydrology and Water Resources. He has about ten years industrial experience and over ten years consolidated academic experience and have lectured in the College, Polytechnic, Monotechnic and in the private and public University systems in Nigeria.
He is currently the Managing Editor of the Journal of Geographic Thought and Environmental Studies (JOGETES) and a reviewer for several reputable journals including the International Journal of Environment and Waste Management (IJEWM); Journal of Earth Science Informatics; Environmental Earth Sciences; Journal of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Development; International Journal of Environment and Bioenergy; Estudos de Biologia; Water Resources Management and the African Geographical Review.
Dr. Ezekwe has produced over (30) publications in both local and international journals; supervised over 20 MSc dissertations and 4 PhD theses. Other practical experiences include environmental quality and impact assessment studies; Review of ESHIA documents; site assessment; mangrove swamp re-vegetation; water well drilling and rural water supply; cartographic draughtsmanship and seismic surveying; on-site geological and hydrological data acquisition and primary skills in petroleum reservoir modelling. He is also a member of various international professional bodies including the International Society of Technical & Environmental Professionals; Auditing (Environment & Safety) Association of Canada; Association of American Geographers (AAG), International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS) and the West African Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA).
His immediate and future research interests include: Assessment/conservation/restoration of water resources, wetlands and sacred groves; Hydrogeomorphology & Environmental Hydrology; Water Quality/Sanitation assessment and Public Health; Oil pollution and livelihood impacts in the Niger Delta of Nigeria; Environmental change Analysis & Adaptations to climate change.
