Freelance Consultant
I am hydrologist by training focussing on Integrated Water Resource Mangagment (IWRM) while I was working at the German Geological Service (BGR). I joint the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in 2009 focusing on adaptation to climate change and climate information. My work contributed to the "Climate Impact: Global and Regional Adaptation Support Plattform" (CI:GRASP) developed by the Potstam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
Until 2014 I lead the project DATACLIM supporting the Indonesian Weatherservice BMGK in building up a Climate Change Information System (CCIS) to increase the climate services of the Indonesian weather service. Data rescue and historical data recovery is the first pillow, the second pillow is the identification of the climate information needed and develop information products which can be assess online in the CCIS.
