Research scientist
I am an ethnobiologist and interdisciplinary conservation researcher with an interest in degradation and restoration ecology, rewilding, ethnography of human-environment relationships, governance and policy. I focus on mediterranean-climate areas, semi-arid and marginal habitats. I am based in Paris where I am a research scientist (chargée de recherche) at the CNRS, based at the National Museum of Natural History. I co-founded the Chilean NGO Kintu to pursue our vision of socio-ecological rewilding there. I am also an associated researcher at the Center for Applied Ecology and Sustainabiity and the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity, both in Santiago, Chile. In addition to my long term work in Chile, I have developed projects in Italy, Lesotho and Sudan. I am interested in developing collaborations and comparative work between Africa and South America.
