Sylvain Djérambété

Sylvain Djérambété is a award-winning young climate leader and a leading figure in environmental activism in Chad. Youth4Climate Youth Delegate for Chad and Max Thasibo Edkins Climate Ambassador, he embodies exceptional leadership at the helm of ISEC CHAD, an inspiring Chadian organization that campaigns for climate justice and environmental education. Under his leadership, ISEC CHAD has transformed Chad's environmental landscape, reaching thousands of people, planting trees and creating environmental clubs in schools. The organization also inaugurated the country's first University Campus for Sustainability, and set up a robust school-based plastic waste management program and an educational ecological transition program, demonstrating its commitment to sowing the seeds of change for future generations. Sylvain, recognized for his visionary leadership and deep empathy for sustainability, was honored with QS ImpACT's Campus Sustainability Pioneer of the Year Award in 2023. His commitment transcends simple action, shaping a sustainable future for Chad and the world.
