I have 15 years of experience in developing and overseeing integrated development, communication, and stakeholder engagement strategies. My experience spans more than 23 African countries working at the intersection of agricultural research and development in varied sectors including pastoralism and resilience, dairy development, natural resource management, gender and agriculture, and research commercialization. I started my career as an agricultural researcher designing and implementing research projects investigating farmers’ adoption of technologies. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and a master’s degree in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from The University of Nairobi. I am passionate about amplifying the voices and stories of African researchers, inspiring development partners to act toward more equitable and inclusive leadership and leveraging the power of evidence to drive social change and inclusive growth. I currently head the Communications Unit at African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD) where I coordinate various work streams to design and deliver successful partnerships and interventions to amplify AWARD’s profile and visibility. I served in the Food System Vision Prize judges committee and is a board member of the Kenya Network for Dissemination of Agricultural Technologies (KENDAT).
