Postdoctoral Researcher
My current academic research in the Environmental Humanities draws on material ecocriticism to contribute to the Relational Turn in sustainability science. It investigates how literary fictions further a common good in the context of the Great Acceleration by fostering their readers' appreciation of the relational value of human and biotic communities. I hold PhDs in biogeochemistry (2002) and ecocriticism (2018); have acted as the Director of Communications and Advocacy for the International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance (2019-2021); and am a member of the FEBA working group on Urban Ecosystem-Based Adaptation.
