Sven Harmeling

I have been working with CARE International as Climate Change Advocacy Coordinator since September 2013. In that role I am responsible for supporting and coordinating climate change related advocacy and policy activities in CARE. In my previous job (2005 to 2013) I worked with the German-based environment and development NGO Germanwatch as Team Leader International Climate Policy, supervising 6 other staff and overseeing the implementation of various domestic and international projects and publications in the area of climate and development (advocacy, advisory and research, education work, event organization etc.). I have been co-chairing the CAN International adaptation and loss&damage group since 2008.
